La 5e édition de la marche annuelle de L'Arc-en-Ciel RPPH se tiendra dimanche le 30 septembre prochain. Comme c'est maintenant l'habitude, le point de rassemblement et les activités se tiendront sur le site extérieur du Centre des migrations. L'inscription des marcheurs se fera sur place à compter de 9 h 30. Le coût de participation pour la marche est fixé à 10 $ par personne (ou 25 $ par famille de 2 adultes et 2 enfants). Un premier départ en groupe se fera à 10 h 30 et par la suite des départs libres seront possibles jusqu'à 13 h pour un circuit de 6,5 km. Sur le site du Centre des migrations jusqu'à 15 h, il y aura un dîner hotdogs, des rafraichissements, de l'animation avec le magicien ambulant Crepmaster et le duo musical Sour & Sweet ainsi que des jeux pour toute la famille. L'admission sur le site est gratuite et la plupart des activités auront lieu beau temps, mauvais temps.

Coprésidentes d'honneur : Mesdames France Roy et Monika Gagnon, toutes deux liées par le coeur à L'Arc-en-Ciel, ont accepté de coprésider cette 5e édition de l'événement. En effet, Mme France Roy, femme d'affaires accomplie et maintenant à la retraite, s'investit actuellement sur le conseil d'administration de l'organisme en tant que présidente. Quant à Mme Monika Gagnon, gestionnaire d'une importante PME de la région, elle fut de ces parents qui, il y a déjà plus de 25 ans, se sont regroupés pour solliciter de meilleurs services pour leur enfant handicapé et ainsi créer L'Arc-en-Ciel. « Cet arc-en-ciel a besoin de couleurs! Ajoutez-y la vôtre! ». C'est le message que Mme France Roy souhaite transmettre pour solliciter l'appui de la population à cette activité de sensibilisation.
