Mark your calendars for Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol” in the Keeping Room by firelight on Saturday, December 8th from 2-4pm. We will be listening to a recording of the 1939 Campbell Soup radio show, as presented by Orson Wells, and starring Lionel Barrymore as Ebenezer Scrooge. A choice of dessert, tea and coffee will be served. The cost for the event is $20.00 per person prepaid or $30 per person if you book both ‘A Christmas Carol’ and ‘A Child’s Christmas in Wales/The Gift of the Magi.” Seating is limited. The Town of Tecumseh Youth Advisory Committee is hosting their second annual Youth Career Fair on 1Wednesday, November 7 from 9am to 3pm at l’Essor High School (in the Auditorium), 3605 St. Gregory’s Road, Tecumseh. The event is open to all area Secondary School students and their families.

The Youth Career Fair provides an opportunity for youth to meet and interact with various sectors of employment, learn about education for employment opportunities and how to develop the necessary skills to obtain employment in their chosen field. Attendees will also be able to network with organizations and businesses in the community to learn about skills development and future employment at a time when University and College applications are underway.

Should any other businesses in Windsor-Essex have an interest in participating in the event, they are encouraged to contact 519-735-2184 Ext. 143 for details on the event.

Life After Stroke Peterborough  (a peer support group) meets the 4th
Wednesday of every month from 1-3:00 PM at Northminster United Church,300
Sunset Blvd (east off Chemong Rd just south of Walmart).  Survivors and
caregivers welcome. Wheelchair accessible but please arrive 15 minutes early
for elevator access.  Light refreshments provided. Next meeting Wed. 28
  November at 1PM.  Please join us.
