The CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run that is the largest single-day, volunteer-led event in Canada in support of the breast cancer cause. The CIBC Run for the Cure will take place on Sunday, September 30, 2018 in Windsor at Riverfront Plaza. The run begins at 9:30 am with Registration beginning at 8:00 am and the Opening Ceremonies at 9:00 am.

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. It is the most common cancer diagnosis in Canadian women.

Thanks to events like CIBC Run for the Cure, now in its 21st year in Windsor, the Canadian Cancer Society has been able to fund progress in breast cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment and care.  The event has raised more than $3.7 million locally alone and several research grants have been provided directly to the University of Windsor.
