Offering ASL 101, 102, 103 beginning September!

Classes run for 10 weeks, once a week from 6 to 9pm

ASL101* Tuesdays Sept. 18-Nov. 20 6 to 9pm

ASL 102 Wed Sept. 19 - Nov. 21 6 to 9 pm

ASL 103* Thurs. Sept. 20-Nov. 22 6 to 9pm

Cost is $195 to register and $135 for material - Total cost $330.00* Please refer to website http://www.chs.ca/services/sign-language-classes-individuals

*ASL 101 and 103 require material, ASL 102 uses same book as 101

In partnership with Windsor Police Services, Unemployed Help Centre, New Beginnings and the Multicultural Council, Windsor Fire and Rescue Services celebrates their 2nd Annual Diversity BBQ on Saturday, August 25 from 11am to 2pm at Lanspeary Park, Ottawa at Langlois. 

There will be a free BBQ with all the trimmings, and this year there will be more than 20 organizations in attendance providing free giveaways. There will also be cultural dance performances, activities, and more.

Community Event - North Bay - Jocko Point Brunch

The Jocko Point Community Centre will host a Brunch buffet on September 2 from 8:30 to 10:30. Buffet includes usual breakfast items plus salads, hot lunch dishes, desserts and coffee or tea. Adults: $10. Children 7-12: $5. Children 6 and under: free. Location: 1082 Jocko Point Road (Fire Hall and Community Centre), between North Bay and Sturgeon Falls, about 3 km south of Highway 17. Note: the Nipissing First Nation Powwow will take place at the end of Jocko Point Road on Sept. 1, 2 and 3.
