Have you always wanted to act onstage? Want to be part of an epic outdoor production in your community? Have you ever wondered how 4th Line productions come to life? Interested in learning new skills and working alongside professional actors, directors and choreographers? 4th Line Theatre is looking for volunteers to perform in its productions of Beau Dixon’s Bloom: A Rock ‘n’ Roll Fable and Ian McLachlan and Robert Winslow’s Carmel this summer.
Auditions and interviews will be held on Saturday, March 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Classroom #116 in the Peterborough Collegiate Building located at 201 McDonnel Street, Peterborough, ON, K9H 2W1. People will be seen in order of arrival. Even if you have limited acting experience but are interested in bringing our region’s history to life on stage, consider auditioning. Previous acting experience is not required.

Canadian Tire Family Day with the Petes brings hockey fans together for a celebration of teamwork and community on a day set aside for cheering Peterborough’s hockey team. The event includes a 2 pm home game at the Memorial Centre against the Niagara IceDogs, followed by a chance to skate with the players. Camp Erin Eastern Ontario is a FREE, weekend bereavement camp for youth who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. Children and teens ages 6-17 attend a weekend camp experience that combines grief activities and emotional support with fun, traditional camp activities. Led by bereavement professionals and caring volunteers, campers are provided a safe environment to explore their grief, learn essential coping skills and make friends who are also grieving. Registration is now open. Applications are available on our website at www.carefor.ca as well as via a link on our Facebook page Camp Erin Eastern Ontario. Camp will take place June 14 to June 16 at our host camp, Rideau Hill Camp in Osgoode, Ontario.
WINPEX 2019 Stamp Show. The annual show of the Essex County Stamp Club will be held at the Caboto Club, 2175 Parent on March 9 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The show features 12 dealers buying and selling stamps and postcards and a free youth program with free stamps for school aged children. Free admission and free door prizes. Everyone is welcome.

St. John's Church Thorold will be hosting its annual PANCAKE SUPPER March 5 at 5 PM - 7PM. Pancakes, sausages, Jell-O, Tea / Coffee / Juice will be served. Whether you wish to develop your resume, work in an office, or create advertising materials for your business, learning to use Microsoft Word is important. This is a popular, powerful word processing/desktop publishing program.
Course topics include:

-Document Formatting
-Saving Files
-Links to other free community resources
Participants also have the opportunity of earning a typing certificate to add to their employment portfolio.
