RIVER JAMS For GBS is a charity concert, completely free to the public, to help Ameliya (a local child) that was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

Guillain-Barré Syndrome is a rare autoimmune disease that paralyzed Ameliya from the neck down at 2 years of age. After treatment Ameliya now has severe axonal nerve damage and is unable to walk without leg braces. 100% of the profits from this concert will go into new braces for Ameliya and to help the family with any expenses and treatments that are needed.

The concert will be held at Hardy Park in Brockville on July 28th from noon-8pm. There are many great bands such as Late Dorian, Greatest of Ease, Erika Lamon, Shanly Road and more!

More entertainment will be going on throughout the day including a vendor village.
Many great prizes will be available to win with a small donation at our raffles during the concert.
Come show your support while enjoying a free show that everyone will love.

The Windsor Symphony Orchestra Intimate Classics Series:

It’s not very often you see musicians get up and walk off stage mind-performance.  In 1772, in response to the long hours his musicians were forced to work, Hayden wrote the Farewell Symphony to raise awareness of a potential uprising to his employer, Prince Esterhazy.  The symphony features a choreographed and strategic exodus of musicians from the stage one-by-one (in the middle of the work!) until only two musicians remain.  No need to worry, the WSO will be back in their seats to perform Schubert’s Symphony No. 5.

The Windsor Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Series:

Many myths surround the composition of Mozart’s famous Requiem: who was the mysterious unknown commissioner?  Who completed the work after Mozart’s death… Eybler, Sussmayr, or was it his competitor, Salieri?  Regardless of its mysterious origins, we know that this music represents the pinnacle of Mozart’s creative prowess.  Joining the WSO on stage at the Capitol Theatre will be the WSO Chorus, the talented choruses from the University of Windsor, as well as three beloved soloists from last season’s production of The Marriage of Figaro!
