Visit the Duff-Baby Interpretation Centre, 221 Mill St. on September 23, 8am-4pm for a fundraising yard sale. The sale will be taking place during Doors Open Windsor and Open Streets so it is a great chance to explore both events. The Museum Volunteer Group is currently accepting donations of lightly used items for the yard sale. Please no soft items (clothing, bedding, stuffed animals). If you have any items you would like to donate, contact Museum Windsor, 519-253-1812

Sunday September 23 from 1pm till 5pm at the Knights Of Columbus Hall at 20 Dupuis Street, Tilbury. Admission is $5 at the door. Musicians free if performing. Food available and prizes to be won . Come on out and enjoy the music and fun.

Do you love a game of cards? Come join the fun at our Euchre Tournament October 12 at the Perth Civitan Hall. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Cards on the Table at 7:00 pm. Enjoy 8 rounds of cards and  bid in the silent auction. A light lunch will be served.

The Renfrew Victoria Hospital Auxiliary is taking orders for their delicious Holiday Tourtieres. The tourtieres are made with all natural ingredients in a commercial kitchen by Auxiliary members and fresh frozen.  Tourtieres - $15.  Chili Sauce - $5.  Pre-order by Nov 30.  Call Doris at 613-432-2448

The Renfrew Victoria Hospital Auxiliary is holding their annual Frozen Berry Fundraiser.  All berries are fresh frozen and are excellent in smoothies, pies or any baking.  Prices - Wild Canadian Blueberries - 2 kg bag - $22;  Canadian Cranberries - 2 kg bag - $17;  Raspberries - 2.5 kg bag - $29.  Pre-order by October 14.  Delivery date is November 12 at Tracey's Dairy in Renfrew.  To order call Shauna at 613-432-8493.

Belleville Public Library is pleased to welcome back local author Dan Buchanan who will be speaking about his new book, 38 Hours to Montreal.  This story follows Governor General Charles Thomson as he raced to make it from Toronto to Montreal in just 38 hours in 1840. Enlisting the help of “The Stagecoach King,” William Weller, Thomson travels over the treacherous roads in a specially adapted sleigh. This book talk will take place on Sat. Oct. 13 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in the 3rd-floor meeting room. No registration is required for this free event.
