On Thursday December 6th, 2018 The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women there will be a vigil at The Gathering Place (across from the Pavilion) at Victoria Park at 12 noon with free refreshments at the house next door after the event. Our guest speaker is Rhonna Scoffield and music will be performed by Shasta Morey. The event is sponsored by ESAV (Ending the Silence about Violence) and the Cobourg Police Services.

Tri-County Literacy Council is pleased to present their Annual Christmas Open House on Wednesday, December 5, 2018  1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. This year's theme is "Bring a dessert, enjoy a dessert". All are welcome to come spend time with our learners, volunteers, special guests and our community partners. Visit with Mrs. Claus and participate in some fun Christmas activities.

Adventure Bay presents a full day of holiday excitement, and you can enjoy it all at our special admission rates with partial proceeds benefitting the Farrow Riverside Miracle Park in celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, thanks in part to sponsorship from Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation, Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare, Train Safety Windsor and a matching donation from the Windsor Accessibility Advisory Committee.

December 1 

  • Special admission: $12 for adults, $7 for kids 12 and under (2 and under are free). $2 per paid admission to benefit the Farrow Riverside Miracle Park.
  • 10am to 2pm: Photos with Santa and Santa’s activity workshop and displays.
  • 1pm to 2pm: Swim with Santa!
  • ... and all the fun family attractions you know and love inside Adventure Bay during our regular park hours, 10am to 8pm.

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be making an early stop in the Town of Essex on Saturday, December 8 at the Essex Centre Sports Complex from 9am until 10:15am, then at the Colchester Community Centre from 11:30am until 12:45pm. The cost to participate is $5 per person, which includes pancakes and juice. Coffee will also be provided for adults.. Children and their families are invited to check the naughty or nice list at two community centres during two upcoming pancake breakfasts.

Parents and guardians will have the opportunity to take pictures with Santa while the kids get to enjoy the magic of Christmas.

Honeymoon City Toastmasters hosts it's annual Speech Contest. Be part of the audience free of charge. Put down the remote and see Niagara Toastmasters compete with one another. The winners will go on to compete in the Area contest with hopes to move on to Division Contest and beyond. Honeymoon City Toastmasters would appreciate the audience.
