Community Event - Cornwall - Canadian Cancer Society Needs Volunteer Drivers
Volunteer drivers are needed in Cornwall to provide cancer patients transportation to their medical appointments. The Canadian Cancer Society's Wheels of Hope program ensures that volunteer drivers are trained and supported in addition to reimbursing them for mileage.
Imagine facing the devastation of a cancer diagnosis. Now imagine having to worry about how you will get back and forth to treatment. In Ontario, 1 in 5 cancer patients have trouble getting to their life-saving treatment appointments.
