Two local artists will have the fun job of not only participating in a world record attempt, but getting paid to do so as well. Donna Lunn, the Ontario Plowmen’s Association projects coordinator for the IPM 2018 World Record Committee, is looking for two local artists to compete in creating eight-foot structures made entirely of sugar cubes. The standing world record was a structure standing seven feet, six inches. The results at IPM 2018 will be judged right away on site by a representative of the Guinness World Records organization. This headline event is sponsored by Lantic Sugar and the Ontario Sugar Beet Growers Association. The three-hour event will start at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, September 20 in the IPM 2018 World Records Tent.
Individuals interested in participating should contact Donna Lunn of the World Record Committee by e-mail at projects@plowingmatch.org or by telephone at 519.859.6988.
