Parkinson SuperWalk is Canada's only nationwide fundraiser in support of Canadians living with Parkinson's. Join us this September as part of a cross-Canada movement of communities committed to changing the course of Parkinson's in Canada. Public Notices/Announcements - Windsor/Leamington - Brain Injury Awareness Month

On June 20 at the Fogolar Furlan Club, the Brain Injury Association of Windsor & Essex County (BIAWE) will host its sixth annual conference, “Standards for Post-Concussion Care: The Right Care, at the Right Time, with the Right Provider”. This full-day workshop is geared towards health care providers and non-treatment professionals who provide post-concussive services and work in rehabilitation with individuals with a brain injury. Dr. Diana Velikonja, neuropsychologist and member of the Ontario Neurotrauma foundation (ONF) committee for Acquired Brain Injury, will be the keynote speaker. She will review the ONF Standards for Post-Concussion Care and provide an update on the ONF Guidelines for Management of Concussion/Mild Traumatic Brain Injury & Persistent Symptoms. A panel of local experts, Diane Bradford (WRH Trauma Services Manager), Dr. Abdalhakim Mustafa (Neurologist), Ann Marie Keough (Physiotherapist at Enable Neurological Rehabilitation), Patricia Fleet (Occupational Therapist at Bayshore Rehabilitation), and Dr. Stewart Plotnick (Psychologist at Plotnick & Assoc.) will discuss the challenges of local implementation of these standards.

Join us for the second annual Movie Night on the Green in support of the North Grenville Community Fund.
This year we will have a number of special events happening between 6:30PM and 10PM. Stay tuned for those to be announced.

Margaret Gregory Bird will be launching her new book, Tea Cup Stories, Book I, on Wednesday, June 27, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Organization for Literacy in Lambton (room 103 at 180 North College Avenue). 20% of the profit of the sales, at this event, will be donated to OLL.

Lindsay East & District Lions on the third Friday of the month:  June 15th, from 5 to 7pm serving a full dinner of; meatballs, caesar salad, garlic toast, beverage, dessert and all-you-can-eat spaghetti & sauce for only $12 per adult, $6 for children 6-12yrs.  5 years and under eat FREE.  Masonic Banquet Hall (behind Academy Theatre) in Lindsay.  Wheelchair accessible.  Special Fathers Day themed silent auction this month.  Proceeds to Childhood Cancer Research and Support.
