Hastings County Historical Society invites everyone to the unveiling of the first of seven bronze historical plaques to be dedicated throughout Hastings County over the summer of 2018.  This plaque commemorates the Thomasburg Spring which provided fresh, cool water for generations of thirsty travellers, settlers nd their animals, and was the reason the village of Thomasburg developed so rapidly at the site beginning in the 1830's. . The spring evolved into a well and reservoir for fighting fires, and for over a hundred years provided people from miles around with their drinking water.
