Film Camp for Kids & Youth is offering an overnight camp from August 27th to August 31, hosted at Kiwanis Sunshine Point Camp in Harrow.
Students are offered an arts technology-based, hands-on experience. Our weekly day camps have had over 100 youth register since it opened its summer programs on July 1st. All of our summer classes are led by university and college students who study and work in these fields and many of them have previously attended the camp. This is great opportunity to hone skills and focus, while enjoying camp life and a week away from home at the end of the summer. Similar to our day camps, campers will be part of every aspect of creating a film. Including script writing, filming, acting and editing. As well as enjoying campfires and songs, indoor and outdoor games, swimming, and more. We encourage you to come out and learn more about Film Camp for Kids & Youth.

The Ride for the Breath of Life is an annual motorcycle fundraising event in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada at which Riders from all backgrounds band together to help change the face of cystic fibrosis from one of despair to one of hope. Funds raised through the Ride for the Breath of Life support life-changing cystic fibrosis research, clinical care and advocacy. This support has resulted in outstanding progress in the quality of life for Canadians with cystic fibrosis. With your help, we are getting even closer to finding a cure for this devastating disease.
However, while we have achieved enormous gains in quality of life and life expectancy, we still lose precious young lives to cystic fibrosis every day. Join us at a Ride for the Breath of Life in your community! Date of the event: Sunday, September 2, Ride starts at Applebee’s, 2250 Division Rd. Buffet breakfast will be served at Applebee’s starting at 8:00 a.m. (Applebee’s typically doesn’t serve breakfast in the morning so this is something “special” for our ride!).
- Registration starts at 9:00 a.m.
- Driver’s Meeting starts at 10:00 a.m.
- Kick stands up at 10:15 a.m.
- Ride ends at Belle River Legion at 2:00 p.m. 506 Notre Dame St, Belle River, ON
- Late lunch, 50/50, raffle and live music from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30p.m. at Belle River Legion
- Ride day ends at 3:30 p.m.

PLEASE JOIN BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS WINDSOR-ESSEX ON SEPTEMBER 19, 2018 FOR THE 32ND ANNUAL BATTLE OF THE HORS D’OEUVRES EVENT!
Battle of the Hors D’oeuvres is an exciting “non-gala” style event that encourages guests to “come as you are” after work, schmooze with some of Windsor’s best food and beverage establishments, while enjoying creative cuisine, drinks, and networking!
Food participants will battle it out in this exciting competition for their chance to win two awards! Guests will have a chance to be food critics and vote for their favourites to win the “People’s Choice Award”, while a panel of expert judges will choose the “Critic’s Choice Award” winners. Guests will also enjoy bidding on silent auction items, entering the raffle, and live music.

All funds raised support the 7 youth mentoring programs at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Windsor Essex which currently provides services to over 800 children in our community.
