Family Sunday Activity: Yarn Bomb – Engage, discover, and create every Sunday afternoon from 1–3PM. We will be making our own street art using YARN! We will bring colour and art to the space outside of the gallery. Free. $5 Suggested Material Donation per family. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Family Sunday Activity: Pop Art Collage – Engage, discover, and create every Sunday afternoon from 1–3PM. Inspired by John Kissick’s The Boom Bits exhibition, we will make glittery collage-like paintings. Come play around with a variety of mixed media and shapes taken from pop culture to create a colourful collage. Free. $5 Suggested Material Donation per family. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
August First Friday: New Exhibitions Revealed – Join us at the gallery on August 3rd from 6-9:00PM as we welcome our newest exhibitions, John Kissick: The Boom Bits and Jaime Angelopoulos. Be sure to mark the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery on your First Friday map. The gallery is open late every First Friday until 9:00PM. Free, give what you can. Fun for the whole family.

Whether you are looking to pick up a new hobby, reignite an old one, or are interested in learning more about someone else’s passion, this one-day event is where you will find it. Hobbyfest is a platform for individuals, local clubs, and organizations to increase their visibility in the community, to show off and share their achievements, as well as recruit new members. Hobbyfest is intended to be a fun, relaxing, educational event that allows for participation in interactive demonstrations and displays.
