The Nov 17, 2018 presentation by the Quinte Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society will start off with the 2018 AGM including the election of officers and the appointment of volunteers to Branch Council Committees. 4th Annual St. Lawrence Secondary School Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction to be held on Thursday, November 22 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm in the school cafeteria. The meal will be prepared by their very own Hospitality and Tourism Specialist High Skills Major students in the culinary arts program, under the direction of Ms. Hutchingame. On the menu… SPAGHETTI, SALAD, COFFEE, TEA, FOCACCIA BREAD & DESSERTS. SLSS will have a silent auction during the meal, and items will be posted on Facebook. All proceeds from this fundraising initiative will be used to assist with such costs as athletics, academics, and the purchase of new technology.

The Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group will be meeting on Monday, November 19th at 5:30 pm in the the Banting Legacy Hall in the lower level of Westmount Pharmacy at Clonsilla Avenue and Charlotte Street in Peterborough. Please park in the rear parking lot of the pharmacy or in the one accessed directly from the street at the side. The door is kept locked so ring the bell if there's nobody at the door when you arrive.
The group provides a forum for discussion about living with peripheral neuropathy and where and how to seek professional assistance. It is open to anyone who has this condition or who has a loved one or associate who has.
Local history experts including Connie Carson, Bob Murphy, Richard Hughes and Lindi Pearce have worked closely with YourTV to produce more 30-minute documentaries about Quinte landmarks and individuals. Please check listings at yourtv.tv for air-dates and times of these new documentraies.
