Community Event - Kingston - David Beckingham, Twin Bandit at The Mansion

David Beckingham spent the last 14 years touring, writing and recording with the Canadian Juno Award nominated trio, Hey Ocean. During this time his own catalogue of unreleased solo material piled up. Naturally when the band decided to take a hiatus back in 2014 Beckingham focused on putting together his own album. Recording plans were delayed by when a severe vocal chord injury left him unable to sing for 6 months. He made a full recovery and in May 2016 Beckingham independently released his debut solo album, Just When The Light. The album is loaded with contrast between existential gratitude, and deep, personal unrest. It’s about light and shadow, and the human predisposition toward always yearning for something other than what you have. The album was produced by Beckingham with Daniel Klenner (The Space Studios) co-producing on most of the songs. All of the material on the album is original with the exception of Beckingham’s soulful treatment on the Be Good Tanyas In Spite Of All The Damage.

The album was release in 2017 in Germany on Greywood Records and Beckingham has toured in Europe 3 times since the albums release. This April/May/June will be he and his band’s first extensive headlining tour across Canada and they are thrilled to be joined by special guests: Twin Bandit. Don’t miss it!
