On Friday May 11th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Champlain Trail Museum will be hosting their annual WTF – Wine Tasting Friday event fundraiser.  Come and enjoy samples of wines from Pelee Island Winery paired with cheeses by Ivanhoe Cheese courtesy of Gay Lea Foods, and Cedar Creek Farm in Shawville from here in the Valley.  Hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Ullrich’s on Main, plus taste sampling from The Urban Gourmet, and Courtyard Bistro.  Wilkies Bakery will be making their debut at the event by providing some tasty morsels as well.

As the event falls on Mother’s Day weekend, the theme for this year’s event exhibits is parenting, so if you’ve got kids, we’ve got wine! We will be serenaded throughout the evening with live musical entertainment by Stacey Graveline.

Tickets are available in advance at the Museum or online for $25.00 per person, or $20.00 for members of the Ottawa Valley Historical Society. We encourage people to buy their tickets in advance as limited tickets are available.  At this time, purchases made at the museum can only be done in cash. However, tickets can be purchased through the online Paypal link on the Museum’s webpage at champlaintrailmuseum.com.
