Join us for a wonderful day of Christmas cheer!  In addition to our craft vendors we will have a bake sale and penny raffle--refreshments will also be available!

November 8, 2018 - Confucianism will be discussed at the Faith of the Ages, comparative study of world religions at Central United Church, Sarnia  at 1 p.m.  

The study group is led by Rev. Lilian Patey of Central United and is open to all.  

Central United is located at 220 George Street, Sarnia, corner of Brock and George Sts.

A study group on world religions will be held on Thursdays at 1 p.m. at Central United Church, Sarnia.

Rev. Lilian Patey will lead the group at the downtown Sarnia church, located at 220 George Street, corner of Brock and George Streeet.

All are welcome.  November 1 - Buddhism will be discussed.

Rev. Andrew Fullerton of London will be guest speaker at the 186th Anniversary Service for Central United Church, Sarnia on November 4.

Fullerton is a minister at Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church, London. Fullerton served in Quebec and Ontario and for many years and lectured in philosophy and ethics at Knox College, University of Toronto.  He is also active in the Boarding Homes Ministry in Toronto.

The service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the historic downtown church, located at 220 George Street, corner of Brock and George Street, Sarnia.  All are welcome. 

Central United traces its historic roots to the “The Mission”, built on the north shore of Mission Creek, a location, near the foot of Devine Street.  The location is now commemorated with a Memorial Stone erected in 1932 by the United Church of Canada. That first congregation was primarily a native congregation with a handful of settlers. Central shares these roots with St. Clair United Church.

ST. JOSEPH'S CHRISTMAS BAZAAR

Sunday, Dec. 18, 2018 from , 10am until 1pm, St. Joseph's Church is holding their annual Christmas Bazaar in the church hall at the corner of Netherby and Sodom Roads, Stevensville. Penny Table, Silent Auction, Homemade and Craft Tables and refreshments.  Everyone welcome.

Music event for children at local public library - an hour of songs, movement and treats for young children. Taking place the at Kemptville Branch of the North Grenville Public Library. Juice and cookies provided and as always it's free! Hosted by Sue and Kerry Badgley, now in our 17th year. 11am Saturday November 3.

Pancake Breakfast: Nov. 25, Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Tyendinaga Recreation Center Hall, 363 McFarlane Rd., Shannonville.  All you can eat. Adults $10 and child under 8 $ 5. 

CHRISTMAS CRAFT SHOW - November 3, 10 am - 3 pm. @ Crystal Ridge Community Centre, 99 Ridge Rd South, Crystal Beach. (beside Ridgeway Library). 25+ Vendors, Penny Table, Bake Table, our Delicious Vegitarian Chili Luncheon, with roll $3.   Water, Tea, or Coffee, $1 @.  Free Parking on paved grounds of the Crytsal Ridge Community Centre. Best way to get there. Hwy #3, to Gorham Rd, Ridgeway,  going south, towards Crystal Beach. All the way to the lights at Rebstock corner, turn left going east. Next corner you come to will be Ridge Rd S, turn left and just up the street, you should see our Community Centre up on the left. Come out and support the Ridgeway Lioness. Help us so we can help others, by giving to local charities. We are working on collecting funds to help support the Ridgeway Lions Club in building of the new "Bay Beach Playground".  Also wanting to collect funds to go towards purchase of a Working Dog, for a person with Autism. approx $13,000. Our last Dog purchased was a Working Dog, for a Blind person and that cost was  approximately $6,000. Thank You.
