Spring Cleaning or Renovating? Drop off your unwanted scrap metal at Nurse Scrap Metal, 678 Erskine Ave. and participate in Crushing for a Cause in support of Global Angel Charitable Organization.  The proceeds from donations of scrap and cash collected from April 9 – June 23, 2018, will go directly to the charity, (founded in Peterborough in 2007) and will enable it to continue to provide support to those needing access to medical treatment or palliative care, relocating seniors requiring medical assistance to be closer to family in Ontario or across Canada, and honoring special wishes.  For more information call 705-740-2645.

The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County is welcoming the public to the Hospice’s open house on Monday May 7th, 2-4pm at the Hospice Main Building located at 6038 Empress Street.

•           Provide Therapeutic Touch or Reiki

•           Provide transportation with your own car or drive the Hospice Van

•           Residential Home on site at Hospice – weekend 4 hour shifts are available

•           Volunteers to provide practical needs in the patient’s home

•           Overnight and evening support to patients

•           Lottery Booth attendants located at Caesars Windsor

•           Administrative volunteers proficient in Microsoft Office programs

There will be an information session held at 2:15pm in the south auditorium. Please RSVP to Sue MacTaggart at smactaggart@thehospice.ca.
