How will Brockville's blue box recycling program be affected by a recent Chinese decision to restrict the amount of the world's waste paper and plastics it will accept? Erik Lefebvre, district operations manager at Waste Management in Brockville, has been invited to give a talk at the next Transition Brockville presentation. Lefebvre says China's decision is causing "giant troubles for the industry" and Brockville is the kind of municipality at the "dead centre" of what's going on. The public is welcome at this free talk on Sunday, April 22, 2 p.m., at the Brockville Public Library, 23 Buell Street.
