Your life is a story and we can help you write it! Chatham-Kent Public Library will be hosting a free memoir writing workshop on Monday, October 29 at 6:30 pm at the Chatham Branch. Presenter and retired teacher, Patricia Pook will explain the process of recording your story, memoirs and musings to be enjoyed for generations to come!
Registration is not required
Hosted by Council 1531 of the Knights of Columbus on Oct. 23 at the K of C Hall on Ellis Avenue, Pembroke. The event starts at 7:00pm. and will last about two and a half hours. Open to the community.
2pm Sunday Oct. 14 enjoy the live 50's, 60's and 70's music provided by 'Vintage Bootleg'. Home made meal follows with ham, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, vegetables, rolls, and pie. $17.50 per adult, $8 for children under the age of 12. Take out is available - phone 613.283.8482. Creek Road will be closed to through traffic between County Road 20 and Meloche Road, commencing September 26, 2018, to facilitate road reconstruction. This closure is expected to last several months. Local traffic will be maintained and residents will be allowed access to their residences but delays should be expected.
Work on the Creek Road Reconstruction will be ongoing through December 2018. The Town reminds residents that during construction, traffic disruptions may occur and some delays may be experienced. Please slow down and obey all traffic signage, and watch for Flag Persons in the construction zone.
