"Elvis is in the house" fundraiser.  All proceeds going to the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation, Friday, May 4 2018.  Entertainment by Steven Goodberry, an Elvis impersonator. Knitters, spinners, weavers and rug hookers will gather in historic Port Hope for the annual Gathering, a Yarn & Fibre Fest on Saturday, April 14th from 10 am to 3 pm. Admission $5. Refreshments available.

Crafters can chose from a wide selection of fibre & yarn, needles & pins, buttons & bows from over 30 vendors to restock their supplies. A Silent Auction will feature looms, books, yarn, and clothing. And the ever-popular draws of vendor-donated items will continue.

Gather at our new location -  Port Hope High School, 130 Highland Drive, Port Hope L1A 2A3. Lots of parking.

Plan to attend. Bring your spinning wheel, knitting, rug hooking and other works in progress.

Spend the day with friends new and old. Lots of seating available.

Three talented Toronto ladies known as Broadsway, combine fabulous voices, clever arrangements, excellent music and side-splitting humour to provide an evening of entertainment not to be missed! Their repertoire ranges from jazz and theatre to pop and classical and have performed in Roy Thompson Hall to jazz clubs to New York.

REAL operates a registered OES electronics waste depot at its REAL Deal Store.  This is the place to bring you non-working and outdated televisions, computers, stereos, cell phones etc.  Items collected are recycled responsibly in Ontario, and earn a bit of money for our environmental organization.  REAL prefers you bring it during store hours, Thurs, Fri and Sat 10 - 4.  Staff will pack the materials in the bin.  If you have a working electronic items you prefer be made available for sale, bring it to the staff's attention.  See the OES site or REAL site www.REALaction.ca for specific items collected.

REAL has a number of plots available at it's Community Garden on the site of the REAL Deal Store.  Rent a raised garden plot, approximately 3' x 16', to plant, tend and harvest for the 2018 gardening season for just $20.  Combine your visits to the REAL Deal Reuse Store with growing your own healthy food!  Guidance available if you are new to gardening.  Please complete an application and agreement, available at the store or on our website www.REALaction.ca, as soon as possible.  We would like plots assigned by May 1, but will keep a waiting list should someone's plans change.  Call 283-9966 if you have questions.

On April 14th at 6 pm at Grace United Church, 990 Cathcart Blvd, come support The Forever Dreamers Relay for Life Youth Team with all proceeds to The Canadian Cancer Society.  Enjoy a pasta dinner with the choice of 3 sauces, Caesar salad, fresh bread, dessert, and coffee, tea and Italian soda. Every Wednesday in April, 5pm - 8pm, $8 per person, all you can eat spaghetti or penne with salad and roll. Take out also available.

The WonderBroads are breast cancer survivors of Windsor-Essex who celebrate life & maximize wellness through dragon boat paddling.

The Quilt Show is presented by the Limestone Quilters and The Heirloom Quilters. It will be featuring hundreds of quilts and wall hangings by our members. There will be a "Celebrating Canada" theme area as well as a Modern Quilts display. Our featured artist is Roslyn Hanes, one of our very talented members. A quilt appraiser will be available and we will have a lovely tearoom. Come buy at our merchants mall and our huge members' boutique. Wheelchair Accessible. Entry fee is $7.00,
