Hike for Hospice is a unique annual nationwide initiative hosted by hospices and palliative care organizations. The walk is a family-friendly and accessible event with strollers, walkers and wheelchairs welcome on this pet-friendly trail. With multiple trail lengths to choose from, people of all fitness levels will enjoy this afternoon of fun. Individuals and teams are welcome to register and raise funds online at www.hikeforhospiceck.com. Paper pledge forms are available at Chatham-Kent Hospice located at 34 Wellington Street East in Chatham.

The Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation will host the second annual
Hike for Hospice fundraising walk on Sunday, April 29th .The Hike takes place at Mud Creek Trail beside John McGregor Secondary School in Chatham. Registration begins at 1pm and the walk begins at 2 p.m.

If you are non-judgmental and empathetic you have what it takes to do this job.

This confidential and anonymous service is provided by nonjudgmental and empathetic volunteers. It is based on an active listening model, which encourages individuals to help themselves through exploring their feelings and their options. Volunteers are trained to allow callers to talk about their issues, explore options with the callers and provide support.

The line is live every night from 5:00 pm to midnight. We offer two shifts a night either the "early shift from 4:30- 8:30 or the "late shift from 8pm till midnight".

Wallaceburg Branch of Chatham-Kent Public Library, in partnership with Chatham-Kent Employment and Social Services and Service Canada, is offering an ID Clinic for anyone who needs help getting identification.
There is no registration required for the ID Clinic and individuals will be served on a first come, first serve basis. There is NO FEE to attend and financial screening will be available for those who may need assistance with payment for identification.
This ID Clinic will be held:

Wallaceburg Branch (209 James St., Wallaceburg)  

Thursday, April 5      12:30 to 3:30 pm
