Melos Choir and Period Instruments presents "Sound Ground - Baroque Chaconnes and Ostinato Basslines." Be wowed, soothed and uplifted by a myriad of compositions from the 16th-18th centuries, all with ostinato basslines. Choral, solo and instrumental works by Bach, Lully, Monteverdi, Rossi, and more. Special guests: lutenist Jonathan Stuchbery; and 2017 Baroque Idol winner, vocalist Jennifer Wilson. Sunday, May 6th, 3:00 pm, at St George's Cathedral, 270 King Street East, Kingston. We offer interesting guest speakers each month including light snacks.
This month's speaker is Michelle Stenson of Chartreuse Flower Works. Michelle will create a bird’s nest inspired arrangement using spring flowers, featuring branches, moss, grasses and egg shells.
We meet at the back of St. Peter's Anglican Church, just east of Coronation Blvd.
