Get comfortable in your seat, and be prepared to be taught "A Lesson in Classic Rock".

On Sunday, April 8, 2018, six all-student bands from The Music Depot will take the stage at the Seneca Queen Theatre to tribute 18 of Classic Rock's biggest names. Students from 10 years old to adult will show you what it means to rock and roll in this annual tribute show.

Tickets are available online at http://bit.ly/2oDPv8L and in The Music Depot studios at 86 W Main St. in Welland and 80 Fraser St. in Port Colborne.

In the past few years, students have rocked the Seneca Queen Theatre with tributes shows to Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and The Beatles. "A Lesson in Classic Rock" plans to give tribute to some of the genre's biggest contributions, from Queen and Bon Jovi to Black Sabbath and Metallica. With huge finales and a full audio and lighting production, it's easy to forget that these musicians are children.

The event is part of the Concert Class/Band Program offered to students at The Music Depot. Students are given 10 weeks to prepare for a performance held at a large event that is hosted by The Depot. The program is offered four times a year and features a theatre show, an annual concert and camping trip, and more great family-friendly events.

Hello!

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back in 2018? Join the fight this April for Daffodil Month!

The Canadian Cancer Society is looking for volunteers to give a little time to help make a big difference.

With April just around the corner, we need dedicated people – like you – to sign up and fill a variety of volunteer roles.

Daffodil Pin Sales will be taking place on Friday April 6th, Saturday April 7th, & Sunday April 8th at select locations across Niagara.

How can you get involved?

  • Lead – Take on a leadership role by helping to manage a specific location/site
  • Deliver – Get packages delivered to various locations in your community
  • Sell – Be at the frontlines and inspire others to give generously by selling daffodil pins

Together, we can make the most impact, against the most cancers across Canada. Funds raised during Daffodil Month will fund life-saving research and vital support services that benefit patients and their families.

We need your passion and commitment! If you share in our vision of creating a world where no Canadian fears cancer, then volunteer with us this April.

Sign up online at: https://myccsschedule.volunteerhub.com/
