Never judge a book by its cover! The Poverty Roundtable Hastings Prince Edward, in partnership with the Belleville Public Library, is pleased to announce that there will be a Human Library event on Sat. Oct. 20 from 11 am – 3 pm.  This event allows you to “check out” a “human book” (an individual with an interesting background or story), to have a short one-on-one conversation with and learn more about their experiences. This event is aimed at fostering diversity and inclusiveness by exposing members of the public to individuals that might have a different lived experience than themselves!

St. Luke's Anglican Church Fall Supper is on Saturday, September 29th, at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 307 Julien Street, Pembroke, Ont.  Serving from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  Cost is $12/ Adults; Children 10 and under are free. Take out is available.  Serving (all home made) ham with baked beans, scalloped potatoes, carrots, salads, beverages and pies.  There will also be a bake table to purchase home made items to take home.  Everyone is welcome at St. Luke's!
