Join us for an exciting evening in support of the diverse programming of The Art School of Peterborough and its Bursary Program. Featuring:

  • Live auction with auctioneer Keith Monk. Fabulous original art from talented, professional artists at amazing prices. 
  • Silent auction with a wide variety of art, gifts, decor, home items, and gift certificates.
  • The Minis Sale of 4x4 and 4x12 paintings.
  • This year the entertainment is by the Peterborough Academy of Circus Arts, who will be doing pop up performances! 
  • Delicious hor d’oeuvres and desserts from local restaurants.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Silent auction and Minis sale 6:30-8 pm. Live auction begins at 8 p.m.

Lambton County Library is celebrating Free Comic Book Day  Saturday, May 5, 2018.   Residents are invited to drop into their local library to pick up a comic book, supplied by Future Pastimes of Sarnia.  Check with your local branch for their hours of opening or visit the Library's website at www.lclibrary.ca.  Free Comic Book Day happens every year on the first Saturday in May.

From Saturday, March 10th until Friday, March 16th, the Brighton YMCA is hosting its annual Megathon fundraiser to challenge the community to get active and try something new while raising money for the YMCA Strong Communities Campaign.

Megathon participants can join a group fitness class for a minimum donation of $5 per class. All donations of $25 or more are eligible for a tax receipt. Register at the Brighton YMCA Membership Services Desk.

On Friday, April 20, 2018, the Brighton YMCA is hosting the Annual Dinner and Auction at the Brighton Community Centre from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. 

Come and enjoy an evening out at the Brighton YMCA Dinner and Auction in support of YMCA Strong Communities Campaign. Your support will help the YMCA ensure people of all ages have access to a healthier life regardless of financial background. 

Tickets cost $45 each and can be purchased online at ymcanorthumberland.com or the Brighton YMCA, 170 Main Street, Brighton. Each ticket includes a $25 charitable donation receipt.

Lambton County Library will be holding its spring Used Book Fair at Library Headquarters on Saturday, April 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.   A wide selection of genres is available to choose from including picture books, crafts, cooking, travel, health, autobiographies as well as fiction and non-fiction for all ages.  Items are available through a suggested donation.

Community Event - Chatham - Chatham-Kent Public Library to Host a Fix-It Café

Join us on Saturday, April 7 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm for a Fix-It Café at Chatham Branch. During the Café visitors with broken items will be matched with “fixers” who will help them make repairs.

Fixers on hand will specialize in these areas of repair:

Small appliances

Computers

Clothes

Knitted items

Books/Paper items

Dull tools

Garden tools

Resumes

All repairs are completed free of charge and registration is not necessary. Visitors should bring broken items and any known new parts or materials required for a repair.
