The Windsor Symphony Orchestra Chorus is excited to join with the Windsor Classic Chorale in presenting Sacred Sunrise, featuring Antonio Vivaldi's Beatus Vir, and Ola Gjeilo's Sunrise Mass on Friday, May 11th at The Capitol Theatre. This shared performance leads up to a feature performance by both choirs at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City on May 19th.

Over a hundred local voices unite on stage to perform these dramatic and challenging choral works, led by conductor Dr. Bruce Kotowich. The concert also includes guest members of the County Classic Chorale and University of Windsor student singers.

A full 3-course dinner, including roast pork, homemade apple sauce, vegetables and mashed potatoes, bread and salad along with a dessert. Only $12.00 adults, $6.00 children under 10 years. La Maison des Jeunes St-Charles est un lieu de rencontres et d’échanges pour les jeunes de 12 à 17 ans. Nous leur proposons des activités de sensibilisation, de prévention ainsi que des loisirs dans le but d’aider ces jeunes à devenir des citoyens actifs, critiques et responsables.

Pour une seconde année, le Bric-à-Brac des jeunes aura lieu le dimanche 6 mai 2018 de 9h à 16h au Centre Communautaire Sintra St-Charles.

Le 5 mai, des équipes de la MDJ circulerons dans les rues de St-Charles pour recueillir les dons matériels.

Cette activité encourage les jeunes à s’impliquer dans leur communauté. L'argent amassé permet de leur offrir des activités à faibles coûts, ainsi qu’à améliorer les services qui leur sont offerts. Cela constitue une bonne façon de saluer leur implication!

Community Event - Niagara - March of Dimes Canada Walk 'n' Roll

Survivors of Stroke Niagara, a Chapter of March of Dimes Canada, is participating in the annual March of Dimes Canada Walk 'n' Roll event at The Pen Centre in St. Catharines on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 10 am to 4 pm, with a ribbon cutting/walk at 3 pm. Walk 'n' Rollers will secure pledges, then complete a designated course at the mall as a way of fundraising and raising awareness for Survivors of Stroke Niagara and March of Dimes Canada programs and services. Last year, Survivors of Stroke Niagara raised over $10,000. Nationally, Walk 'n' Roll has raised over $435,500 since it started! This year's goal is to raise another $70,000.

Merritton Legion, 2 Chestnut St. E., is having a ladies only night upstairs. 7:00-11:00pm. Bring a  pot luck item and the recipe. Anyone wanting a copy of your recipe can copy it at the Legion. Cost is $2.00. Cash Bar. We will be playing games ( cribbage, euchre, poker, left right and centre, etc.) Leave the men at home and come have some fun ladies!

Pillette Road from Tecumseh Road to South National is getting bicycle lanes. Crews will be painting in bicycle lanes on both sides of the road and therefore there will be no parking allowed on Pillette on Monday, April 30 from 7am to 7pm. Traffic may be slower than usual due to this work so please consider using an alternate route.
