Culture Days ~ The Art of Mehandi. On Sunday, September 30th from 2-4 pm, celebrate Culture Days as you explore the arts and culture of India with traditional henna mehandi and tasty treat sampling at the Brockville Public Library. Free and for all ages.

You will learn the basic foundation for building an open terrarium and how to care for your botanicals. $45 and all materials are included. St. John's Church Men's Group is hosting a Ham and Potato Casserole Dinner Sept. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church at 301 Main St. E. There will be ham, scalloped potatoes, coleslaw, dessert and a drink. Gluten free option will be available. Adults $12, Students $9, Children 6-12 $5 and children under 6 no charge.

The Thousand Islands Fine Art Association (TIFAA) is hosting its 36th annual show September 15 and 16, and on the following weekend, September 22 and 23. As it has been for several years, the show will be held at the Thousand Island National Park Visitor Center, located on the Parkway at Mallorytown Landing. Everyone is welcome during the opening hours from 10 am to 5 pm and at a reception with refreshments and music on Sunday, September 16 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Admission and parking are free.  On both Saturdays, a draw will take place for a gift certificate of $100 to be used towards the purchase of a TIFAA piece of art.
