Afrofest, hosted by University of Windsor Students' Alliance African Diaspora Festival, is a week-long celebration of February’s African Heritage Month! The week consists of various cultural and educational activities that document and celebrate the contributions made by peoples of African descent to the world. Afrofest promotes unity on campus, celebrates the journey and progression of black history, as well as engages in cross cultural exchange. Peterborough's Russelle Toyota brings "For The Love Of Magic" Show to Ashburnham Reception Centre, 840 Armour Road. In support of Alternatives Community Program Services the show will take place on February 14th from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Tickets include an adult (+19) magic show, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction. All proceeds support of the Braidwood Neighbourhood Project. Magic Show provided by the amazing talents of Philip and Henry Productions Inc.

The Lindsay East & District Lions Club is hosting a Community Spaghetti Dinner on Friday, February 16th from 5 to 7 pm at the Masonic Banquet Hall in Lindsay.  Cost is $12 for adults, $6 for children 6 to 12 years.  Children under 6 years eat FREE.  A full meal served in a fun atmosphere includes; Caesar salad, garlic toast, meatballs, all-you-can-eat spaghetti & sauce, beverage and dessert.  Come join in the fun to support Childhood Cancer Research and Support!  Visit our Facebook page: Lindsay East and District Lions Club for more information.
