CKPL Offers Writing Workshop with Author Jacqueline Garlick

Jacqueline Garlick will be presenting on her experiences in becoming a published author, as well as discussing her latest books at the Wallaceburg Branch, CKPL on Thursday, April 12 at 6:30 pm (new date). Everyone is welcome. Please register online at search.ckpl.ca or call 519.627.5292.

Jacqueline Garlick has developed a Writer’s Series of books to guide writers with their writing skills, “Tick-Tock Plot” and “Tick-Tock Edits.” Join Jacqueline at the library as she speaks in-depth about taking the grief and stress out of story creation and developing your skills to publish your work.  

Jacqueline Garlick is the author of a young adult steampunk trilogy The Illumination Paradox”. She has received a LYRA award and Indie B.R.A.G. Medallion for her books. She also writes under the name Jacquie Gee. For more information on Jacqueline, visit her website www.jacquelinegarlick.com

Community Event - Niagara - 11th Annual Celtic Evening Live Music and Dance

Annual Celtic Evening and Dance. 

Saturday April 28th, 2018 

Mountain Ridge Community Centre 105 Mountain Road Grimsby

Start at 7 pm

This year we have 25 members from the Oakville Celtic Fiddle Orchestra opening the program for us.  This should be a site to see.  We have the Schiehallion Highland Dancers, and the Grimsby Pipe Band.  We will have Kelly McAurther of "Life of the Party" being the DJ for this evening.  There will be a Silent Auction, at huge 50-50 Draw (last year paid out over $600) and a Grand Raffle.

There will be a light Luncheon of Scotch Meat Pie, Mashed Potatoes, Turnip, Dinner Roll and yes a Haggis.  Also a well stocked Cash Bar.

So you get Live Music, Dancing Music, good food and a chance to win wonderful prizes (tickets sold separately)  all for only $25.
