Come on out to Activity Haven, 180 Barnardo Avenue for our open house in Room 7, on Tuesday January 23 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and see what we do. We welcome old wood carvers, all types, round, chip, or relief, new carvers, or whittlers. Refreshments included.

Hot meals for 42 nights - from Thurs., Jan. 18 to Wed., Feb. 28 - Bridge St. United Church (side door).  Free hot meals and a warm place to be during the coldest time of the year - available to anyone.  Doors open at 4 p.m.  Coffee/soup served at 4;30 p.m.  Nutritious, hot meals served from 5 to 6:30 p.m.  No registration required.  If unable to attend from 5 to 6:30 p.m., a frozen meal can be picked up daily (Jan. 18 to Feb. 28) from 2 to 4 p.m.  Registration on your first visit is required for the "pick up" component of this program.  For more information, call 613-962-9178.

Bring your family to the OFAH Family Ice Fishing Day at Bel Rotary Park, in Ennismore Saturday February 17 from 10-2! Enjoy a free day of ice fishing with family and friends. All bait, and equipment is provided, and every child takes home a prize. Canadian residents can fish licence-free.

Then come and warm up with hot chocolate or chow down our free BBQ at the OFAH | Mario Cortellucci Heritage Centre at 4601 Guthrie Drive in Peterborough from 10-4!  From the Excalibur Archery Range and Stoeger Airgun Range, to lure making, 2D fly tying, casting challenge, scavenger hunt and laser shot to crafts and games … we have activities to keep the whole family busy. This is your chance to discover our unique wildlife displays, take in a movie in our amphitheatre or see the fish feeding frenzy in our giant fish aquarium (12 & 2 pm). Admission and all activities are completely FREE!

Description: Part I: Nude, Naked and in Between with Dr. Buj – Join us for a talk on the spiritual ideals and carnal fantasies projected onto the female nude in the annals of Western Art. Dr. Buj holds a doctoral degree in literary studies from the University of Michigan. He taught art criticism and contemporary art history for twenty years at Western University and currently teaches comparative literature and linguistics at the University of Windsor.
