Community Event - North Bay - NBIFC Hosting Gigantic Pow Wow Fundraiser May 25
The NBIFC at 980 Cassells is holding a huge fundraiser, and we'd love for you to show your support of our 16th Maamwi Kindaaswin Pow Wow.
We have three great activities on the same day to raise money for our free, family-friendly, community event, the Maamwi Kindaaswin Pow Wow, which welcomes everyone from all walks of life and has become a hallmark of the summer season. We are looking to offset the costs of the free shuttle that will be running, along with the Community Feast. Your help would be appreciated!
Event 1. Garage Sale—8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. We are accepting donations for this event until the 24th. Please do not bring large appliances.
Event 2. Car Wash—The Youth Council will wash vehicles at our Car Wash from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A minimum $10 donation is required.
Event 3. Dance Party! An alcohol and Drug-Free event from 6pm to 10pm in the NBIFC Gymnasium. Show off your moves to the DJ's tunes and bring your friends! Tickets are selling fast, so get yours today-$10 per ticket or 3 for $25! Spot dance prizes, door prizes, snacks and light refreshments.
Can't attend our events but want to show your support anyway? Email inquire@nbifc.org, or bring your cash or cheque to reception to receive a tax receipt, and/or share this extravaganza with your friends and family!

The Outreach Team at Cephas Christian Reformed Church invites you to join us on June 16, 11:30am, Fathers’ Day for a Free BBQ and Ice Cream Social following the service and August 11, 11:30am for a Free Ice Cream Social after the worship service.

This vital fundraiser for the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation (PRHC Foundation) supports world-class cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment close to home, and has raised over $4 .2 million so far.
Community Event - Peterborough/Lindsay - Rotary Open House
The Rotary Clubs of Peterborough, Peterborough-Kawartha, and Bridgenorth-Ennismore-Lakefield are inviting the general public to get to know Rotary in your community at an open house on Thursday May 23rd, from 5PM to 6:30PM.
Media and the general public are invited to drop by for an informative Rotary Open House to learn about volunteer opportunities available with area Rotary clubs. Guests will have the chance to chat with Rotarians and see how Rotary is making a difference in our community and around the world. Everyone is welcome!

The Rotary Club of Peterborough was established in 1921 and currently has just over 70 members. Over its proud history, the Club has supported many local and international activities and events, from its early sponsorship of Five Counties Children’s Centre, The Rotary Spelling Bee and The Prince of Wales School Breakfast Programs to world-wide efforts in polio eradication, clean water, world peace and literacy. The Rotary Club of Peterborough, which usually meets for lunch two Mondays per month, is one of four clubs in the immediate area and one of over 46,000 clubs, with 1.4 million members around the world. The Club celebrated its 100th Anniversary on April 1, 2021.

Community Event - Ottawa Valley - Free blood pressure clinic at Wesley United Church
The public is invited to a clinic hosted by the Parish Nurse Initiative, a project of 3 United Churches in the upper Ottawa Valley. People can have their blood pressure checked and the results interpreted by the interim parish nurse. Healthy snacks, information on hypertension, cholesterol and more also provided.
