The BDIA is looking for volunteers to help with an exciting event in downtown Belleville on December 7th. Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, refreshments, photo booth etc. It’s a great opportunity for you to meet some of the Belleville Senators. Independent Living Centre Kingston's Annual Swing Dance featuring the LaSalle Causeway Swing Band will be held on Saturday, March 3rd from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion 560, located at 734 Montreal St Kingston. All proceeds from the event and silent auction will benefit programs and services at Independent Living Centre Kingston. Tickets are $15.00 each or $25.00 for 2. Come one, come all on Thursday, December 7th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. out in front of Century Village at the corners of Bridge and Front Streets! The Senators will arrive in a horse-drawn trolley as part of the BDIA’s inaugural Christmas tree lighting and opening ceremonies punctuated with a rousing Senators downtown welcome followed with seasonal music and a visit by ‘Mr. Cymbals’ to kick off the evening’s festivities. Guests will then have an opportunity to move inside to the Century Village concourse for light refreshments and an opportunity to meet team members, obtain autographs, and have their photo taken in a Senators jersey. Prizes will be drawn prior to attendees being encouraged to take a stroll along the downtown streets and view the wonderfully decorated and lighted Christmas trees and visit the shops who have gone all out to awash the downtown with the spirit of the season.
ADULT DAY PROGRAM OFFERING INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WITH A DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY. WE OFFER A LIFE SKILLS-BASED PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES WEEKLY WORKSHOPS, VOLUNTEERING, EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION, DAILY LEISURE AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES. WE ENCOURAGE DEVELOPMENT OF INDEPENDENT SKILLS, SETTING GOALS, BUILDING AND MAINTAINING LIFE LONG FRIENDSHIPS. WE OFFER SKILL BUILDING TO ACHIEVE AS MUCH INDEPENDENCE AS POSSIBLE IN HOME AND IN THE COMMUNITY.
Starting at 9am until 2pm on Sunday Jan. 7th. Breakfast includes, an order of sausages, coffee/tea/juice and hot chocolate. All are welcome to attend. Donation only!

Join us in a celebration of Christmas music by the Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School choir at the Lights of Hope Tree Lighting Ceremony at St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre on Tuesday, December 12th from 1:30-2:30 pm. The Lights of Hope Fundraising Campaign Trees will be lite to represent the caring people in our Community.
