June 1 to September 30. $10 Gallery admission (FREE to AGW members)

This spring-summer is the second and final Windsor-only showing of The Sandwich Project, the brainchild of conceptual artist, IAIN BAXTER&. Last year, this project began by exploring how Sandwich is at once place, object, and experience. This year, the curatorial team of Jaclyn Meloche and Christopher Finn has organized five more exhibitions which consider the art and economics of food.

Featuring two exhibitions of Andy Warhol’s work, photographs from BAXTER&’s 2008 residency in Rennes, France, a group artist exhibition of contemporary art, and a still life exhibition from the AGW collection, this program is sure to wow you with quality and content. It is a pleasure to have American Pop artist Andy Warhol showing solo at the AGW for the first time in two projects featuring prints from the 1970s and 1980s and the experimental film, EAT.

Exhibitions:

  • The Sandwich Project
  • Still Life: 'Food' for the Eye, Mind and Body
  • Andy Warhol: Printed Food Matter
  • Andy Warhol: EAT
  • IAIN BAXTER&: &ANDWICH TIME
  • The Contemporary Sandwich Shop

NORTH BAY PUBLIC LIBRARY  -  AUDIO VISUAL DEPARTMENT CLOSING JUNE 4th FOR CONSTRUCTION

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                            THURSDAY, MAY 17, 2018

NORTH BAY - The North Bay Public Library announced today, access to the Audio-Visual Department will be unavailable beginning Monday June 4, 2018, lasting up to 4 months.

Library CEO and Chief Librarian Ravil Veli said, “Kenalex Construction was recently awarded a contract to undertake a rehabilitation project beginning June 11th for the ceiling, pipes and lighting of the Audio-Visual Department”.

During the project there will be no public access to the Audio Visual Department.  A selection of the most popular audiovisual materials including DVDs, CDs, Video games and Talking Books will be available for browsing on the main floor of the library with checkout at the Adult Services desk.

“We understand this may be an inconvenience and we are making every effort to ensure the most popular audiovisual materials will be available to patrons for the duration of the project”, said Veli.

In preparation for construction the audiovisual service desk, and area, will close on Monday June 4, 2018 to allow for a transition of materials. Select audiovisual materials will be available on the main floor of the library starting Wednesday June 6.

“We are exploring options for the transfer of a select number of internet access computers to the main and or mezzanine floors as well”, added Veli.

Other areas closed due to this project are the Auditorium and the Boardroom.

Project updates and information regarding the availability of materials will be posted on the North Bay Public Library website and through social media.
