The Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) is a Canada-wide registered matched savings plan specific for people with disabilities. It is designed as a long-term savings plan. The money can be invested to grow in a tax deferred environment and provides matching federal contributions up to 300% annually. Depending on someone’s income, money saved can immediately triple in value.

House of Sophrosyne is hosting an International Women's Day Concert with musicians Sarah Smith ( London), Crissi Cochrane, Tara Watts, Twisted Sisters, The Van Lares and Lady J'ai Mac on March 3, 6pm at Rockstar Music Hall, 2418 Central Ave. All money raised from the concert will be donated to their "Building for Recovery" campaign to help women with addictions and to help raise awareness of addictions in our community. Tickets are $10 at Rockstar Music Hall or at www.ticketscene.ca.
The Fogolar Furlan Women's Association is hosting an event for International Women's Day. The event will be held on Friday, March 2 at the Fogolar Furlan, 1800 North Service Road. Dinner will be served at 7pm. The event includes vendor tables, Chinese raffle and lock-box raffle, and a fashion show. The tickets are $45 for adults and $30 for youth 12 and under.
