Need to build self-confidence? Want to set goals for the future? Tri-County Literacy Council is offering a new 6-week training titled "Choices" starting on Monday, May 7. 2018. In this program, students will explore topics such as attitude, motivation, oral communication, goal setting, and career exploration. Students will enjoy a variety of guest speakers. Classes will run Monday to Thursday, 9-11:30 am. To register call Tri-County Literacy Council at 613-932-7161.

Health Unit office (200 Rose Glen Rd.) in Port Hope - This course teaches participants how to handle and prepare food safely. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate (valid for a period of five years) indicating they are registered as a certified food handler. Cost is $40 per person. Big Brothers Big Sisters is partnering with Off Your Rocker and Roger Lee for the second annual Comedy Fundraiser! Partial proceeds from the Saturday night show will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cornwall and District.
