Hutchison House Museum will host a Rhubarb Spring Fling on Wednesday May 23 from 1-3pm. Enjoy a taste of spring with a delicious rhubarb dessert, topped with a dollop of ice cream. Tea, iced tea, or lemonade will add a refreshing compliment to this delightful spring repast. Tickets for the Rhubarb Dessert may be purchased in advance at a reduced rate. Pay for tickets in advance at a cost of $7 or at the door for $9. Join us as the Olde Gaol Museum celebrates International Museum Day with a Season Opening Social – Friday, May 18 from 4pm to 7pm. Just because you have been to the museum before does not mean you have seen all we have to offer. Explore new exhibits such as Industry on the Scugog as well as newly renovated exhibits. Light refreshments will be served appropriately themed to our museum’s setting. Donations to support the museum in their fund-raising efforts are always welcome or speak to one of the staff or volunteers about becoming a member of the society.

While the museum will be closed for the Victoria Day Long weekend, summer visiting hours will begin the following week. Please visit the museum’s website for details as there may be some changes from the 2017 season.
