St Thomas Anglican Church in Belleville. We have 2 regular concerts in February and May 2025. This year we also have a special Christmas
concert with Quinte Symphony in December

Seniors 60+ are invited to get active, make friends, be well! Prince Edward Community Care offers over 50 online events each month for seniors 60+. Online Zoom fitness and arts classes along with socials are held Monday to Friday. In September, the Zoom webinar topics include “How to beat the fear of not doing enough” with Karen Fuller; “South Shore Joint Initiative Nature Walks” with Cheryl Anderson, VP of the South Shore Joint Initiative; “The Garden County of Canada” with Terry Sprague, Naturalist; “Hybrid Bingo” with Community Care staff; and “The Power of Better Social Connections” with Laura McGugan, Community Care co-ordinator and Anne VanVlack, Vital Signs co-ordinator. Public Notices/Announcements - Quinte - Curbside Luncheon for seniors 60+
Curbside pick up meal - September 19th, 2024 - Athol Town Hall
Prince Edward Community Care holds monthly curbside pick-up of meals. This event is on Thursday, September 19th 2024, and the pickup location is at the Athol Town Hall, 1685 County Road 10, Cherry Valley. Chef Bill Grieve of Wheelhouse and Occasions catering is preparing a scrumptious meal. The meal includes homemade soup, chicken breast stuffed with brie and apple, rice, mixed vegetables, and apple pie for dessert. The cost is $20.00/meal and seniors 60+ can order by calling the Community Care office at 613-476-7493. All meals must be paid for in advance. Meals will be packaged hot and ready to be picked up at the Athol Town Hall. Only those who preorder and pay will be served. To order, or for more information, call 613-476-7493. Delivery can be arranged for seniors who require it. Orders will be taken until Monday, September 16th, 2024. www.communitycareforseniors.org

Public Notices/Announcements - Peterborough/Lindsay - Big Band Day September 14 Millenium Park
The Peterborough Concert Band (PCB) will be playing in Millennium Park (next to the Silver Bean Cafe) on Saturday September 14th as part of a multi-band event to entertain downtown shoppers, riverside walkers, and Silver Bean patrons. PCB will open the event at 12:00 pm with a 45 minute program that showcases the band's broad repertoire. The other bands on the afternoon slate, until 5:00 pm, include Northern Spirit Big Band, Marenger Band, Electric City Swing, and Knightshift. This free event is generously sponsored by the Downtown Business Improvement Area of Peterborough and Long & McQuade Musical Instruments Peterborough. We hope to see you there!
Bring your family, a lawn chair and enjoy an afternoon of Big Band music.
Note -- as this is an outdoor event, it is weather dependent. There is no rain date.
