The Honeymoon City Toastmaster Club of Niagara Falls will be staging a Mock Speech Contest on February 7th in preparation for hosting Toastmasters Area 55 Speech contest on March 7th.
Toastmasters is a non profit educational organization (NPEO) that is devoted to helping people develop communication, public speaking and service leadership skills worldwide since 1924.
Some join toastmasters to help in careers, school or to improve language skills. Others join simply to interact with others for self improvement in a warm and mentoring environment.
Come join us for three free meetings to see if Toastmasters is something for you.
Since 1981, thousands of hungry diners have enjoyed this one-day offering by the Kiwanis Club of Belleville. On Wednesday, June 6, Kiwanians, family and friends gather at the Quinte Curling Club to prepare 1,700 take-out dinners, consisting of ½ BBQ chicken, baked potato, roll and coleslaw. Only $14 in advance, $17 at the door. This has sold out year after year, so don’t delay in purchasing your ticket. Available online at kiwanisbelleville.ca and from Kiwanis members. Also for sale at several local businesses: Whitley Financial Services, Sam the Record Man, CrossRoads To Care, Home Building Centre (Dundas E), The Brake Room, Campbell Monument.

In the spring of 2014 THE HOWLING HORNS was created by seven former members of "More Bad News and the Horns from Hell". Adding the lead singer from "The Influence" to complete this well established professional 8 piece horn band. Over the years we have played in many festivals and special events enjoying the new sound and direction of the HOWLING HORNS.
The HOWLING HORNS is a collection of very talented musicians who have been playing in the Niagara Region for many years creating a wide repertoire of music enjoyed by all ages.
