Make your first holiday shopping destination the popular Christmas in the Valley Artisan Show where a juried selection of over 25 artisans, crafters and bakers will be presenting their original creations in a relaxed, friendly and festive atmosphere this November 4 & 5, 10-4pm at the Almonte Community Centre & Arena Upper Hall, 182 Bridge Street.
The Valley Show always strives to bring in lots of new artistic talent and returning favourites to give you a wide variety of hand crafted items for those special people on your shopping list, great things to make add to gift baskets, fill stockings and a few things for yourself too! We're here to help you make great gift choices from our local vendors. Items such as bird houses and walking sticks. Beeswax candles and flavoured honey from an award winning Heavenly Honey. Local photography in prints, cards and puzzles. Plenty of different types of knitted, woven, felted and sewn items, to use personally or around the house. Eye catching glass works in blown form and fused. Repurposed silver plated jewellery, lacy crocheted jewellery with precious stones and wire wrapped pendants to enhance an outfit. Scented soaps and scrubs in wonderful scents. Springdale Maple products and gift baskets that are wrapped and ready to give, perfect for a family or a corporate gift. No need to bake because Sweet Temptations has all that for you including sweet chocolates. Great books for children, miniature quilts, pottery both functional and beautiful in form. Homemade light meals and baking will be served as a fund raiser for the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum at the snack bar. www.mvtm.ca . Community Event - Niagara - Pub Night as presented by the Grimsby Pipe Band
