Les Belles Soeurs by Michel Tremblay is a play that revolutionised Canadian theatre when it was first produced in Quebec in 1968. Fifty years after its premiere, it is still resonating with audiences.
What is the secret to its enduring popularity? What is the play's historical significance?
Prior to University Players' opening of Les Belles Soeurs, Dr. Michelle MacArthur (Drama) will facilitate a panel discussion featuring Dr. Emmanuelle Richez (Political Science) and Dr. Guillaume Teasdale (History), to answer those very questions.
And if that wasn't enough to get you out of the house, we'll be serving some tempting, soul-comforting desserts!
