The Muskoka 2/4 Craft Beer Festival offers a great way to kick off the summer season and spend a Saturday hanging out on the beautiful Muskoka River in downtown Huntsville. Kick back and enjoy the atmosphere that the long weekend in Muskoka brings.

This is a craft beer festival smashed together with music, food and a full day of fun. Stop in to see different craft breweries from across Ontario bring over 50 of the most flavourful craft beers you can imagine for you to try.

Not only that, but there are also two stages offering up live music all day. We are busy gathering together a lineup of incredible local bands for you to enjoy while trying out all that delicious craft beer.

All this and we haven’t even mentioned the mouth-watering line up of food! From sweet to savory, there are a ton of choices being offered throughout the Festival.

The Muskoka 2/4 Craft Beer Festival is organized by the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce.

The public is invited to an “Open House” to learn about Niagara search and rescue (SAR) operations, meet SAR volunteers, and experience the challenges of aviation and marine based SAR. Focus this year is on water safety.

The Civil Air Search And Rescue Association (CASARA) of Niagara will host an open house at the Niagara District Airport on Saturday, April 27, 2024, to give the public the opportunity to see the sophisticated equipment used in search and rescue operations, examine aircraft and even win a chance for a familiarization flight over St. Catharines in the group’s Cessna 182 Skylane aircraft (weather permitting).

The focus of this year’s event is water safety, and the volunteers of South Shore Search And Rescue will be on hand to illustrate the group’s safety equipment, distribute boating safety gear and conduct a competition that simulates a real rescue. Kids of all ages will also have the opportunity to have their photos taken with “JJ”, the group’s rescue dummy.

Public Notices/Announcements - Windsor/Leamington - RCL FORT MALDEN BR. 157 AMHERSTBURG, ON

The Anguish of War book reading is being presented by military historian/author, Gene Lotz in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion

Fort Malden Branch 157  (Amherstburg, Ontario) on Sunday June 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.  FREE - ALL WELCOME !

The Anguish of War book reading will honour the memory of the fallen from Amherstburg, Ontario.

Lotz’s book, The Anguish of War, is the result of two decades of in-depth research into the lives of 1600 Veterans (of all stripes) from Windsor and Essex County who followed in the footsteps of another generation and “filled the ranks.”

They came from all backgrounds and walks of life. They left the comforts of family and home knowing they were doing the right thing. They gave up a piece of individuality to become a part of something larger than themselves defending the integrity of our Canadian democracy and safeguarding those fundamental civil liberties that are often denied to so many the world over!

From the Boer War to the Afghanistan War – patriotic duty, service, courage, and sacrifice – we have their name on monuments, but there’s more to them — their lives lived. Who are they?” asks Lotz.
