Microsoft Excel is a useful spreadsheet program that allows you to enter numbers or information into the rows or columns of a spreadsheet. These entries can be used for making calculations of difficult formulas easy, graphs, and statistical analysis.
While learning the basics of Microsoft Excel, learners gain from creating spreadsheets such as a Job Search Log in order to keep track of the positions they apply for (can also be used as a reporting tool). Other learners may discover a love for working with numbers and spreadsheets which may lead them to further education in fields such as Bookkeeping and Accounting. Topics include:

As part of our Financial Literacy series, the Belleville Public Library will be offering a session on credit histories on Friday, November 24 at 2:30. This session will cover what a credit history is, and what it means for you, as well as how to rebuild credit after you’ve experienced bad credit. The public is invited to learn about two recent scientific assessments and to have a say about the recommendation to change the status of two ecological indicators related to Eutrophication and Plankton Populations. Scientists from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change will present their research and will be available to answer your questions. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about the Niagara River Remedial Action Plan initiative and to be a part of this important discussion.
