Designed for community members age 55+, who are wishing to improve their balance and range of motion regardless of their current ability level. The program will be led by trained volunteers who ensure the program is run in a safe manner. Classes can be done seated or standing.

Community Event - Peterborough/Lindsay - Robbie Burns Day Take Home Dinner

The first Burns super was held in Ayrshire, Scotland in 1801 to celebrate the life of Scotland’s National Poet Robert Burns. Robbie Burns Day is considered a key cultural heritage event in Scotland. For the first time Hutchsion House Museum will celebrate Robbie Burns Day with a take home meal on January 25, 2024. Celebrate this Scottish icon with a traditional Scottish meal made up of all your Hogmanay favorites. You must pre-order your meals by January 19, 2024. Meals will be available for curbside pick-up between 12pm and 2pm on January 25, 2024.  Meals are $30 and will include: a Scotch egg, tatters and neeps, oatcakes, cheese, a sample of potted salmon, shortbread and clootie dumpling. For an extra $5 you can also get a piece of Haggis.

Local team from Peterborough fundraising for the Battlefield Bike Ride 2024 Normandy, France in support of Wounded Warriors Canada. Wounded Warriors is a national mental health charity for veterans, first responders and their families. Monthly euchre at the Peterborough Legion, third Monday of the month at 7:00 pm. $10 to play, no partner required, all skill levels welcome.10 euchre hands, 50/50 and may include raffle prizes and light snacks.
