Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption CWL Annual Christmas Bazaar & Tea
Once again, members of the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption The Catholic Women’s League of Canada (CWL) will be hosting their popular Annual Christmas Bazaar & Tea. This year’s theme is a Winter Wonderland!
When: Saturday, November 16th, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Where: Parish Hall, 480 McIntyre St. W
Silent Auction draws at 1:30 p.m.
Penny Sale draws at 2 p.m.
Tea Room tickets are just $8.00.
Other areas include Heritage & Hidden Treasures, Bake Table, Knitting/Sewing/Craft Table, and Jewelry Table.
Come for the fun, stay for the delightful food and atmosphere!
Wheelchair accessible entrance on Algonquin Ave. side of the church.
Funds raised support agencies that address food security and the marginalized in our community.

The Dorset Arts & Crafts show takes place Saturday, October 12th 10:00am-3:00pm at the Dorset Recreation Centre and highlights local artisans, with a variety of items showcased. There is pottery, wood working, images from Muskoka/Haliburton and Algonquin, oil, acrylic and water colour paintings, quilting, folk art, rugs, candles, diffusers, fused glass ornaments, pendants and much more. Come and see us in the gymnasium and support the local artisans. Great shopping and sandwiches and pie available to purchase for lunch.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 479 is having a Halloween Dance featuring Tim Hebert and Borderline on October 26, 2024 from 7pm to 11pm. $10.00 a ticket that includes a light lunch. Prizes will be awarded for most original costume, scariest costume, and funniest costume. Doors open at 6pm.
Free Health and Wellness Program for Seniors and Veterans. Every Tuesday, starting October 8, 2024 from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm a health and wellness class will be offered to seniors and veterans at no cost to them. After class, coffee, tea and treats will be offered.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 479 is holding Fish Fry every Friday from Sept 6, 2024 to December 20, 2024. Returning January 3, 2025 to May 30, 2025 from 4 PM to 6:30 PM. NEW! prices for this year. A full dinner includes 2 pieces haddock filet with fresh cut fries, fresh made coleslaw, a bun with butter and coffee or tea for $15.99 including taxes. Also new for this year, gravy is now offered for $1.00.
