Community Event - Quinte - Shaken Not Stirred Gala for Alzheimer's Mar 27
The Alzheimer Society of Hastings-Prince Edward is hosting their Shaken Not Stirred Gala once again on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024 at The Grand in Belleville from 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm. This year's theme is "A Starry Night!". Tickets are $120 and must be purchased on advance. The evening will include a full hot buffet meal, door prize draws, live and silent auctions and so much more. All funds raised stay local and support the Alzheimer Society of Hastings-Prince Edward. Jonathan Larson's Rent follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. How these young bohemians negotiate their dreams, loves and conflicts provides the narrative thread to this groundbreaking musical. RENT is about finding your voice, your found family, and living for today.
Performances start Friday March 8th and run through Sun March 17th at the Mandeville Theatre, Ridley College. Evening and matinee shows available!

Local magician Tyler Fergus will host a Kids Comedy Magic Show on Sunday March 17th at 3 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church. The program helps survivors seek safety while ensuring their pet receives proper care until they’re stabilized and safe, and can reunite. SafePet Ontario removes a significant barrier for those fleeing abuse by caring for their pet(s) until the survivor is stabilized and safe. Everyone is welcome!
