Canadians in a Forgotten War (Chatham-Kent, Ontario book launch) presented by military historian and author, Reverend Gene Lotz – (https://www.facebook.com/TheAnguishofWar/).

During the book launch’s opening presentation, Reverend Lotz will present a copy of Canadians in a Forgotten War to the Mayor of Chatham-Kent, Darrin Canniff.

Canadians in a Forgotten War, published by military historian/author Reverend Gene Lotz is an enlightening perspective that ‘pulls back the curtain’ on the Anglo-Boer War where Canadian troops distinguished themselves on the world stage.

Canadians in a Forgotten War honours our Canadian Boer War Veterans (to include soldiers from W-E County, Chatham-Kent, and surrounding communities) for their courage, patriotism, and sacrifice - many who gave up a piece of individuality to be a part of something larger than themselves.

Canadians in a Forgotten War also serves to recognize how Nursing Sisters made exceptional contributions to Canada’s military. As remarkable trailblazers, Nursing Sisters built the foundation for modern military nursing and pioneering nursing as a respected profession in civil capacities. Book launch is open to the public.
