March 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the opening of an incredible non-profit, charitable organization known as the Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC). The KMFRC would like to invite you, to join in the celebrations and make this 30th anniversary a memorable one.

March 1st the KMFRC will launch a virtual 50/50 fundraiser. Tickets for the 50/50 fundraiser can be purchased online here (Kingston Military Family Resource Centre 30th Anniversary 50/50 Fundraiser! | Rafflebox), and the funds raised will help the KMFRC to continuously provide exceptional services to military families in times of need.

Join us on Saturday, March 23rd between 1pm and 4pm at the KMFRC, 32 Lundy’s Lane, for great festivities, jam-packed with exciting activities. Families can expect activities like facepainting, a community game challenge, a balloonist and much more. The new 'YOUth Matter’ room will invite young visitors to explore the Youth Connect App that recently launched. A retrospective exhibition in the KMFRC gym titled “Through the Years” will display many fond memories from the past 30 years and hopefully bring smiles to visitor’s faces. Family friendly charcuterie and refreshments will make sure attendees won’t go hungry.  On top of that, the event will host the live draw of the KMFRC’s first 50/50 fundraiser at 3pm and recognize KMFRC and Personnel Support Program (PSP) community volunteers. This will be a fantastic opportunity for families and individuals to mix and mingle and to check out the centre, should they have never been here before.

For more event details and to register, community members and partners are invited to visit the event page at www.cfmws.ca/kmfrc30th

We hope to see you at the KMFRC on March 23rd!

She has been involved with William Dam Seeds throughout her life, and now focuses on the flower side of the business: trialing new flowers, buying seed, and preparing the seed for packaging and selling.

She is a design and horticulture judge with the OHA, GCO, & RBG.

Connie lives on Hamilton Mountain and when not playing with flower arranging, enjoys fibre arts and eating baked goods that her husband creates.

Rock Solid Wrestling and it’s parent company No Good Productions return to Bracebridge on Saturday,
March 9th with “Bedlam In Bracebridge” in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Muskoka, live from
Bracebridge & Muskoka Lakes Secondary School.

Event promoter Adam Contant says, "Rock Solid Wrestling brings a one of a kind, all ages, interactive
show while also doing good for the people and places we wrestle for. Local businesses and community
members have been so enthusiastic about bringing our brand of action entertainment back to
Bracebridge after a long five year absence. We couldn’t be more excited!"

The card will feature a number of talents, including Krystal Moon, The Ring Truck Crew, Tornado, KC
Spinelli, Anthony Darko, and more. In the main event, Canadian Heavyweight Champion Scotty The
Body will be defending his title against #1 contender Daddy Davis, while new Canadian Tag Team
Champions will also be crowned. Speaking on his upcoming defense, Scotty says “Last time Daddy
Davis and I were in the ring, he attacked me from behind. On March 9th in Bracebridge, we’ll be face to
face and we’ll see if he’s the king he claims, or nothing but a coward.”

Tickets for the event are on sale now online at rocksolidwrestling.tickit.ca. Tickets will also be available
at Muskoka General Store + Refillery in Bracebridge, or at Stevenson Plumbing & Electric in
Granvenhurst starting Saturday, February 24th. All seats are $20 with 100% of the profits going to
benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters Muskoka.

Executive Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters Muskoka Courtney Provan says “We are so excited to
be working with Rock Solid Wrestling to bring this fun and exciting event back to Bracebridge. We love
the idea to work with events that are family focused and unique for the community to attend. Kids in
Muskoka are struggling, and BBBS Muskoka works to fill in gaps, supporting families in addition to so
many other groups. We are hoping to expand our services and increase the kids we serve throughout
Muskoka. Events like this are a fun way to bring attention to our cause, reach out to the community and
build our support.”
