Arnprior Rotary Club presents the Tarts and Arts in the Park Family Festival!

Join us Saturday August 24 from 9:30am to 3pm at Arnprior’s Beautiful Robert Simpson Park overlooking the Ottawa River.
        Family Fun and Free Admission - Rain or Shine!

• Fun for the whole OZ Family with Kevin Smith Magic, Music by Andy
Stokes, Photo Booth Children’s Games and a Bouncy Castle sponsored
by the Arnprior Optimist Club.
• In addition to the Park Canteen, the Lions Club will be lending an hand
to provide food.
• Try out the Butter Tarts of our best local Bakers and see them compete
and stroll the Yellow Brick Road to find local Bakers and a variety of
Artisans and Crafters.
• Bid on Silent Auction where the proceeds will go directly to help hands
on Rotary Projects including our Peace Pole Project.
• Further along the Yellow Brick Road you will find the Arnprior and
Area Library, the Arnprior Archives, the Humane Society and other
community groups.
• At the Emerald Castle Gazebo you will find our own local Wizard of
OZ MC introducing performances by Andy Stokes, Abila Family, plus
the Butter Tart competition!
• Free Parking at Robert Simpson Park and at the Hospital

• Tarts and Arts is brought to you by the Arnprior Rotary Club. For

• Make a day of it and stay in town for the Cultural Night Market starting at 4pm to 9pm in Arnprior’s historic Downtown Core. Activities will include
food, artists and artisans from a variety of cultures to celebrate the rich diversity of Arnprior and beyond.

Reiki Certification Course – Thursday, September 26th, 2024 – Bloomfield Town Hall

Prince Edward Community Care invites people of all ages to participate in a full day, first degree level reiki certification course with Karen E. Williams, Reiki Master Teacher and Practitioner. This event will be held on Thursday, September 26th, 2024 from 9:30am until 4:00pm. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive first degree level reiki certification and be able to practice reiki on themselves and others. The fee is $125.00 for members of Community Care’s Active Living Program. The fee for non-members is $225.00. Lunch is included. 55 Alive Driver Refresher Course - Tuesday, September 17th, 2024 - Community Care office

The driver refresher course is developed by the Canada Safety Council and is designed specifically to help older drivers improve their driving skills. This event will be held on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024, from 9:30am until 3:00 pm at the Community Care office, 74A King Street, Picton. The cost is $40.00 per person which includes lunch, a 100-page workbook, useful resources, a certificate and instruction by David Fox, who is trained by the Canada Safety Council. Space is limited. Registration and payment in advance are required. Active Living Programs for September for seniors 60+ available 5 days/week 

Seniors 60+ are invited to get active, make friends, be well!  Prince Edward Community Care offers over 50 online events each month for seniors 60+. Online Zoom fitness and arts classes along with socials are held Monday to Friday. In September, the Zoom webinar topics include “How to beat the fear of not doing enough” with Karen Fuller; “South Shore Joint Initiative Nature Walks” with Cheryl Anderson, VP of the South Shore Joint Initiative; “The Garden County of Canada” with Terry Sprague, Naturalist; “Hybrid Bingo” with Community Care staff; and “The Power of Better Social Connections” with Laura McGugan, Community Care co-ordinator and Anne VanVlack, Vital Signs co-ordinator.
