Every year, on the third Saturday in September, Lyndhurst’s population of roughly 300 residents swells to a bustling crowd of up to 8000 people. People come from near and far to enjoy the Annual Lyndhurst Turkey Fair.

Turkey Fair carries on the tradition of getting together in the fall for a day of fun. Originally farmers would bring their poultry to town to sell, brining their family along to socialize with a fair like atmosphere.

Now days we carry on the tradition of a day of family fun by hosting the fair in the village of Lyndhurst. Indulge in toe-tapping tunes with three stage areas, savour scrumptious eats, and don’t forget the vintage car show! Delight in fun kid zone shenanigans, rub elbows with royalty like Cinderella and Brie the River Mermaid, paddle a Voyager canoe, hitch a ride on a wagon and mingle with the Canadian Armed Forces Navel Reserve personnel from Kingston’s own HMCS Cataraqui. Discover secrets of local history, see various exhibits such as blacksmithing, wood turning, and chair canning among others.
